Penobscot River Restoration Trust celebrates project completion

On June 14, the Penobscot River Restoration Trust (PRRT) celebrated the completion of its 16-year river restoration project with the opening of the Howland Fish Bypass, which is a nature-like fish passage that Kleinschmidt designed and installed near the Howland Dam in Maine. More than 300 people attended the event, and Kleinschmidt vice president Alan Haberstock presented the PRRT with a salmon painting to commemorate this important milestone in the history of Maine’s largest watershed.
