Chief Technical and Operations Officer

Scott is a member of the executive leadership and oversees the operation's technical talent responsible for project delivery. Scott ensures that Kleinschmidt’s engineering, science, and regulatory talents are suitably trained, the appropriate team size for project workload, and industry experts in their field. Scott facilitates the publication of professional papers, evaluates the firm's technology used, and manages the development and marketing of intellectual property. Duties also include business development, market diversification, thought leadership, and quality control.  

Professional Experience:

Scott has been in management at Kleinschmidt since 2002 and is also a senior fisheries scientist with more than 35 years experience. Throughout his career, Scott has worked on most major U.S. drainages relating to the impact of hydroelectric operation on fish and wildlife, fishway design, and the development of basin-wide restoration and management plans.  American eel, bull trout, and lake sturgeon have been species of particular interest to Scott.      


Scott earned his B.S. in Biology from Millersville University, Pennsylvania.
