Eric Chambers, Sr., P.E., specializes in the upgrade and maintenance of hydroelectric facilities. Eric has led teams of engineers for the upgrade of the largest hydroelectric pumped storage project in the U.S. and had system-wide mechanical engineering responsibilities for a 500-mile-long hydroelectric system in California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range.

What is the most gratifying project that you have worked on?   

I had the opportunity to work on the Helms Overhaul in California where, at one point, all three 500+ ton rotors were out and on the floor.

What is one of your most gratifying personal achievements?     

While serving in the Louisiana Air National Guard, I was able to help during the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew by operating and maintaining mobile generators strategically positioned around outlying areas in and around the New Iberia area used to power pumping stations.
