Jillian Davis, P.E.

Civil Engineer

Jillian Davis specializes in rehabilitation design of hydroelectric sites, marine structure designs, and detailed structural connection and metal calculations. Her design experience includes new structures made of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, and wood, as well as renovations and repairs to existing structures. Jillian’s design of hydropower structures includes powerhouses, intake structures, bulkhead dams, trash racks and rakes, gates, penstocks, retaining walls, overhead crane supports, flashboards including inflatable rubber dams, and fish lifts. She performs dam safety and dam stability analysis and developed Kleinschmidt’s in-house dam stability analysis software.

What do you like about being an engineer?

I like being an engineer because it ‘fits’ who I am. I’ve always been creative and loved to design new things. I’m also a task oriented person, constantly organizing and making lists.

I attended the University of Maine – Orono and earned a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering.
