Senior Engineer


Lucas’s experience includes design of plant electrical equipment upgrades, hydroelectric station expansion and rehabilitation, generator unit control systems, and fish-lift control systems, as well as field experience with plant automation, construction assistance, and commissioning. Lucas programs programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs), designs and configures protective relaying, engineers custom control panels, and assists clients and contractors with equipment installation and start-up either in the field, or from the office. Lucas has also contributed to plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, and due diligence reports. Lucas specializes in integrating new equipment into an existing facility ensuring that the client’s existing drawing package is thoroughly updated.

Lucas is an active member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society and serves on its Hydroelectric Power Subcommittee.
