Alex Gaidola has one year of civil/structural engineering experience. He focuses on structural analysis and design of new hydroelectric structures, and inspection of penstocks and water retaining structures. He is experienced in performing preliminary design calculations for steel, concrete, and wooden structures. He is proficient in engineering software such as Mathcad, RISA 3D, AutoCAD, and Revu Blue Beam. He has performed inspections on penstocks and tainter gates and has written summary reports to document observations and measurements recorded during these inspections.  

Alex graduated from the University of Maine in the spring of 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a concentration in structural engineering. He also earned a minor in mathematics.
