Austin Cormier has eight years of hydropower-specific experience and specializes in the analysis and design of hydroelectric project structures including powerhouses, penstocks, surge tanks, gates, and trashracks. Austin provides construction assistance as part of the request for information (RFI) and shop drawing submittal process for his designs. He has completed multiple penstocks, surge tanks, Tainter gates, powerhouses, and dam safety inspections. Austin also provides stability analyses for concrete gravity structures such as dams and powerhouses. Austin has experience in completing dam safety reports such as potential failure mode analysis (PFMA), Part 12D Inspections, and Dam Safety and Surveillance Monitoring Reports (DSSMR). Austin is proficient in RISA 3D, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and KAStable. 

He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
