Ben Cary has 11 years of hydropower-specific experience and specializes in 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling, hydrologic analysis, floodplain management, dam breach analysis, river restoration, and project management. He is experienced in teaching professional education courses on HEC-RAS around the United States and is the host of the popular technical vodcast “Full Momentum: an HEC-RAS Vodcast”. Ben routinely uses HEC-RAS 1D Steady/Unsteady, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, and Arc GIS for modeling and analysis. Ben is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon and a Certified Floodplain Manager.
Ben has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Gonzaga University and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and River Restoration Northwest (RRNW). He is an instructor in the Kleinschmidt HEC-RAS Webinar series and he is the co-creator of Full Momentum- an HEC-RAS Vodcast. Ben is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Oregon and a Certified Floodplain Manager.
