Jason Kent has 27 years of water resources and hydropower-specific experience and specializes in river and floodplain restoration, hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, habitat modeling using Instream Flow Incremental Methodology (IFIM), and fish passage and fish guidance/deterrence design. His primary focus is leading technical, multidisciplinary teams to exceed client performance expectations within budget and schedule constraints. Jason’s project experience includes fish guidance and deterrence planning and design, fish passage design, instream restoration and floodplain connectivity design, feasibility studies for flood mitigation and ecosystem restoration, and development of mitigation strategies for habitat restoration projects.

Jason is a Professional Engineer licensed in 6 states and is a certified Project Management Professional through Project Management Institute. He was a Board Member for the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying 2013-2021 and served as Board President 2015-2017. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and the American Fisheries Society (AFS). He holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University and a B.S. in Environmental Biology from Ohio University.
