John Greenan has 41 years of civil engineering experience including 34 years of hydroelectric-specific experience. He specializes in comprehensive Federal Energy Regulatory Commission dam safety capabilities including Part 12 Independent Consultant dam safety inspections, Owner Dam Safety Program development and audits, and Dam Safety Surveillance and Monitoring Plans. John also has detailed FERC license compliance experience ranging from managing license articles to leading both Traditional and Integrated Licensing processes. He has directed construction projects from conceptual design to completion on dams, gates, spillways, penstocks, and powerhouses. John’s experience as a Project Engineer, Chief Dam Safety Engineer, and Project Manager is invaluable in successfully completing tasks while integrating regulatory requirements and owners’ objectives.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Norwich University and is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Vermont and New Hampshire. He is an active Association of Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) member, emphasizing his dedication to professional development and industry standards.
