“I love fish and their ecological environment. Working at Kleinschmidt allows me to continue to embrace my passion and enhance my knowledge from my colleagues, and clients to help contribute to Kleinschmidt’s overall goal.”
Nathan McLellan is an Associate Scientist at Kleinschmidt supporting environmental and fisheries projects through field data collection, technical writing, and GIS analysis. He has hands-on experience across the Columbia River Basin—including fisheries monitoring, data management, and reporting—gained through his work with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation.
At Kleinschmidt, Nathan contributes to study plans, proposals, technical reports, and routine field assignments, while managing spatial data and supporting project teams with clear communication and quality-driven work.
He holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Saint Martin’s University, where he conducted research on juvenile Chinook Salmon diet composition in collaboration with USFWS and WDFW.
