Paul Williams has over 50 years of hydropower-specific experience and specializes in the planning, design, and operation of hydroelectric power plants and related mechanical systems. He is an authority in valuation studies, due diligence reviews, and project assessments and is qualified as an expert in multiple court proceedings. Paul serves as an independent reviewer of hydropower projects for lending institutions, private developers, utilities, and law firms. He has performed or witnessed the field testing of more than 75 hydroelectric turbines. Paul provides expert consultation for litigation involving design and operation of hydroelectric projects as well as consultation for ongoing operation and maintenance of hydro plants.
Paul graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. He is the past President for the Maine Association of Engineers and Past Board of Directors for the Hydro Foundation.
