Peter Christensen has 37 years of fish passage facility design and operation experience and specializes in providing fisheries science and engineering consulting services to the hydroelectric industry and resource agencies. He is experienced in designing fish passage and protection facilities at hydroelectric and water diversion projects incorporating hydraulic, structural, and civil design elements from conceptual development through final design. Peter has extensive experience involving resource agency and stakeholder interaction, technical report preparation, construction support and monitoring, and project management. Prior to entering the engineering profession, he worked as a fish biologist on anadromous fish restoration and commercial fishing research projects for federal and state fisheries agencies in Washington, Alaska, and Maine.
Peter has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He also has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maine.
