Peter Stevens, M.S., CFP-C serves as a Senior Scientist at Kleinschmidt Associates with over 20 years of experience in hydropower, water resources, fisheries and environmental regulation and compliance. Stevens career has spanned both the public and private sectors where he has served as Senior Scientist & Fisheries Program Manager for Four Peaks Environmental Science and Data Solutions (acquired 2025 by Spheros Environmental), White Sturgeon Research Program Leader for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Science Operations Manager for Cramer Fish Sciences and Lake Superior Fisheries Manager for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

He has managed complex, multidisciplinary projects for federal agencies and utilities, including the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, US Army Corp of Engineers, PacifiCorp and Chelan PUD, overseeing technical teams, interested party coordination, and analysis and reporting. He specializes in quantitative analysis, sturgeon and salmon population modeling, and habitat modeling, assessment and restoration, He has worked extensively across disciplines including, fish passage, fish telemetry, habitat restoration and regulatory and compliance under environmental regulations such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), and Clean Water Act (CWA). He excels at the intersection of disciplines and organizations, bringing novel, pragmatic approaches to address applied fisheries and aquatic challenges.

Stevens earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Environmental Science from Lawrence University and a Master’s of Science from Cornell University. He is a Past President of the Oregon Chapter, American Fisheries Society as well as a Certified Fisheries Professional (CFP-C).
