“I am excited to apply my skills in hydraulics and hydrology to help solve to real-world problems while experiencing the world of engineering consulting and learning from talented professionals!”
Rowan Fay has two years of experience in water resources engineering, specializing in hydraulic modeling and statistical hydrology. She uses her expertise in Python, R, and ArcGIS to conduct statistical, geospatial, and hydraulic assessments. Rowan is proficient in industry-standard software, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, CE-QUAL-W2, and Excel. She also has field experience in surveying and hydraulic data collection, including channel characteristics and flow measurements. Her project work spans river and reservoir modeling, as well as the development of in-stream and riparian hydrologic statistics to support water rights adjudication processes across the western United States.
She has a B.S. of Ecological Engineering, a B.S. of Sustainability, and is currently pursuing a M.ENG of Ecological Engineering with a concentration in Water Resources Engineering from Oregon State University. She is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society (Oregon Alpha chapter) and Phi Beta Kappa, the Liberal Arts and Sciences Honor Society (Oregon Epsilon chapter).
