Shana Wiseman has nearly 20 years of experience working with federal and state agencies and relevant stakeholders on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hydroelectric licensing and compliance projects. She has worked on hydroelectric projects across the United States and has extensive experience navigating the FERC hydropower licensing process.
She coordinated FERC’s Small Hydropower Program and later served as a Branch Chief in FERC’s Division of Hydropower Administration and Compliance, where she led a team handling major amendments, license surrenders, and compliance issues. More recently, she was the Program Manager for the Department of Energy’s Hydroelectric Incentives Program within the Grid Deployment Office, which focused on providing funding for capital improvements to existing hydroelectric facilities.
Shana Wiseman holds a Master of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science in Leisure, Youth, and Human Services from the University of Northern Iowa.
