Nick Townsend Earns Professional Engineer Licensure in Newfoundland and Labrador

Pittsfield, ME– September 16, 2025 – Kleinschmidt Associates, an engineering, regulatory, and environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Nick Townsend has earned his Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Newfoundland and Labrador.  

Nick specializes in structural design, inspection, and assessment. His expertise includes concrete inspection, repair and rehabilitation methods, stability analysis, penstock assessment and design, project risk analysis, and post-tensioned rock anchor design. He is skilled in the use of AutoCAD, PTC Mathcad, Risa3D, Primavera, and stability software. 

Townsend holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He also holds certifications from the American Concrete Institute in Repair Application Procedures, Anchorage Design, and Fundamentals of Concrete Construction.
